Teaching program: After separate lectures on Latvian history, culture and architecture, the course of pottery takes place. It is an approximately two-day practical course in ceramics. The ceramics course is held in an artists' house near the river Daugava (with a view of the opposite bank with Old Town). Ceramics course takes place in the beginning of the SE, because the clay produce made by participants "matures" for approximately one week. Afterwards the participants can take it home. Then after 1,5 days in horse-breeding farm lecture on tourism takes place in Valmiera and a lecture on architecture is held in medieval Cesis.
Leisure Program

It generally relates to the events of Riga 800th anniversary, which will provide a remarkable insight in Latvian culture. Of course, there are numerous museums (both modern and old) to be included in the program. Also sightseeing Riga is an experience: no city in world has such Art Noveau architecture. For evening recreation pubs can be visited based on incidental wills. In the accommodation in Riga there will be a large room available for common events in evenings. Furthermore, we plan to spend at least three nights in tents in a nature park, in a modern art park, and near a lake. There will be swimming opportunities as well as any other entertainment in open air. Please, be willing to tell about your culture, would be nice if you brought a specific dish from your country.
