General Info?
Activities:In NAPOLI, you will take part to one of the most fascinating adventures in your life, going through the numerosus vicoli to arrive in the giant squares of the city, going deeply and deeply - every day more - into the neapolitan culture and way of living, joining our "arrangement art" (not only in a musical sense…), tasting our marvellous food, from spaghetti to pizza! But seeing that the day is not only morning… we have some nights to fill… and don't worry the nights in Naples can be really full of funny and unforgetable… Is this not enough? So, in the end, don't forget our famous cook and especially our hot hospitality: tomato in every cookable way..., pasta and especially spaghetti, pizza and more are all ready since now: so don't take too much time to take this decision! Eight days and seven nights of unforgetable culture, history, sea and sun, fun, and all - and this we can assure you with all our heart - in perfect neapolitan way…!!!! Termoli: well, beaches, fireworks, partied, islands... spirit. It's something secret that you may acquire inside yourself for the rest of your life. Something small which on the end really makes the difference 7 REASONS FOR 7 DAYS IN ROME 1) TO SEDUCE ON THE STEPS! Rediscover that loving feeling! Wander through the twisting, cobbled streets around via del Corso and suddenly you'll get to the base of the Spanish Steps, an exquisite specimen of Roman Rococo, shaped like a crooked bow tie and surrounded by balustrades and balconies spilling pink bougainvilleas or red azaleas. 2) FOR THE HOT HISTORY... Grab the bed sheets, wrap'em around you and you're part of the Roman fashion...2000 years ago! Investigate into Rome's amazing past, and check out the fabulous places where all those Roman orgies took place! Visit the Coliseum (even if you do have to fight the crowds) 'cause it's the monument which best reflects the greatness and power of Rome, take a walk into the Roman Forum, used as a marketplace as well as a place for political rallies and religious devotions. After that, go and lay down on the grass into the Circo Massimo where once there were chariots, then relax just in front of where Romans did the same in the Caracalla's baths. 3) ...OR TO CHILL OUT Feel hot? Take you & your friends on an ice-cream crawl: Rome's the undisputed home of the stuff, and we mean the real stuff! Gelaterie (ice-cream cafes) are on every street corner and offer top-quality ice cream to make your throat fresh! Need only water? Help yourself in one of the million fountains: even if you were blind you can't miss them. 4) TO FIND THE "OTHER" ROME For a change from the crowded city streets, cross the Tiber river to the district of Trastevere, a kind of town within the town. The residents here see themselves as very much apart from Rome proper, and with its peaceful, narrow streets and quiet squares, it provides a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle. Wander over via the Ponte Sublicio bridge on a Sunday morning, and have a good rummage through the Porta Portese flea market: it's full of antiquities, old motor spares, cheap clothing and assorted junk. 5) JOIN THE DOLCE VITA! You still have strength at night? Ok, let's go to the centre walking in piazza Navona or standing with a chilled beer in your hand in Piazza Campo dei Fiori, and don't forget that it's not rude to stare here: people-watching is a national pastime so don't be shy... If it's not enough for your strength, you can finish it in Testaccio, a popular district full of clubs for every kind of people...also for you! 6) TO ESCAPE And if Rome will get too hot there's always the Villa Borghese to escape to. Immediately above the Piazza del Popolo, it's a beautiful collection of ornate gardens, woodland and lakes, not to mention plenty of large umbrella pines to shade beneath. There're boats too and wonderful views across the rooftops of Rome. 7) YOU WON'T WANT TO LEAVE! But before you go, stop by the famous Trevi fountain. Throw a coin over your shoulder into the water, and they say you'll be sure to return to Rome one day! Ciao!
Disabilities:1) can you host disabled people? 2) If yes, which kind of sensorial (blind, dumb, deaf) and/or physical disability? 3) Are you going to take any special solution to host them? 4) Is there anyone of the organisers who can take of them or either can you host a person who will take care of them personally for the whole period of the SU? We are trying to find solutions and let know later.
Lodging and Meals:In Napoli the lodging is in a very special convent in the city center ;) The Italian breakfasts are always very simple though inviting: Italian coffee, cappuccino, criossants, brioches, marmelade. Don't expect eggs or ham or sausages (!) before 12.00 in Italy. Every day we'll provide an extra meal, either dinner or lunch, and Italian kitchen never left anyone unsatisfied so far :) About lodging you should always be lodged in beds but having a sleeping bag is mandatory because we still have to finalize the programme and--- you don't want to miss surprises eh :)
Travel info:The trip starts in Napoli and ends in Roma. All the inner transports are included in the fee, while you'll have to arrange the Roma-Napoli after the end of the event on your own. In any case both the cities are well connected with major international airports and train lines. In Roma is active ryanair for example. The cost of Roma-Napoli train after the end of the SU, for which we will help you, is about 20 euros. Maybe we'll also have a post-event!
Visa info:We'll get in touch with the selected paritipants: Russians, Belorussians, Ukrainians, Turkish and former YU citizens who need visa, to send them an invitation letter beforehand and provide necessary support to get the infamous visa.
